Robert Peden is a consultant ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon based in Edinburgh.  He has advanced specialist training in cataract surgery, eyelid surgery (functional and cosmetic), tear duct surgery and orbital surgery.

His training has encompassed Oxford University, St Bartholomew's and the Royal London, Edinburgh, Cambridge, Moorfields Eye Hospital and Harley Street.

He is a full member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society, the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and the Scottish Chair of the St John Ophthalmic Association.

Robert Peden holds a substantive NHS consultant post at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh, providing tertiary care for patients throughout Southeast Scotland.
